Callie day...Aug 9

This is granddaughter Callie.  Callie was like a fish in the water all the time and a sweet & fun young lady.  There are not as many photo's because we were almost always in the water.  It was so hot and the water felt so good.  We swam to the shore, to the boat and back to the shore.  Callie loves to fish and we did but we had no luck catching anything.

Emma day....July 25

This is my niece Emma.  Emma is one of my favorite people in this big old world!  She loves everything that I do and when we get to spend time together we just don't want it to end.  This weekend was no exception.  We had an extra day so we were able to take a ton of pictures and spend a lot of time swimming to shore and exploring with David.

I had heard about the Hanger Kafe for some time, I have heard the food was good but everyone I talked to had eat there at breakfast.  This is on the way to the lake near Stotts City so we gave it a try.  Between the three of us we tried frog legs, cat fish, cashew chicken and hamburgers.  The chicken was still frozen, the fish and frogs was undercooked and the hamburgers were just awful.  At least the atmosphere was awesome!

Open up!
Bob came out to the cove for a bit.  Emma loved him pointing out various stars, the sky was so clear.  She love learning about Polaris and how to find it.

Jamie day...July 19, 2014

The second youth weekend was spent with grandson Jamie.  He was a little worried about being without his mom but at the lake the real world is just a vague memory and your on lake time without a trouble in the world.  Jamie loved sailing, swimming and playing on the dingy.  I was a little worried the first morning when Jamie said, "Nina (all grandkids call me Nina) what stresses you out?"  I have to admit, I was wondering why this young man would ask such a question and I was a bit concerned, so I asked him why.  My heart just melted when he answered, "because I never want to that."  He is growing up and growing sweeter every day.  I love our little man.
Jamie

David and Jamie have  one thing in common, the unhappy, happy face.  They were both having fun loving the dingy ride but you would never have known it by the lack of smiles on their face.

This looks like a happy face but the more accurate description is this is the please don't dump me in the lake face.

Jamie at the helm!
